Cake Ordering FAQs
- What is the lead time for a cake order? We require a minimum of 72-hours on all cake orders. Some highly-detailed cakes may require a longer lead time.
- Does The Buttered Tin ever hit capacity on cake orders? Yes, on rare occasions due to a high volume of large orders we may stop accepting new cake orders.
- What is the cancellation policy? To cancel an order please contact us directly via phone (651-224-2300 ex2) right away. Orders may be canceled up to 72-hours prior to the cake pick up time for a full refund. Any cancellations made less than 72-hours in advance are not eligible for a refund and will be charged the full amount.
- Can I make changes to my cake order after placing it? Yes, modifications can be made to an order up to 72-hours prior to the pick up time. Please contact us via phone (651-224-2300 ex2) to make changes.
- Where can I pick up my cake order? You can pick up cake orders at our either our St. Paul or NE Minneapolis restaurant locations. You will choose the pick up location when you place the order.
- Does The Buttered Tin offer delivery? Yes, we offer local delivery on orders over $300 or for weddings.
- How much does delivery cost? The delivery charge depends on the size of the order and the distance for delivery. The minimum delivery charge is $50.
- What cake options does The Buttered Tin offer to accommodate allergies/dietary restrictions? All of our cake flavors can be made “gluten-friendly” for an additional cost. Gluten-friendly means that the cakes are made with a gluten-free flour blend, but the cakes are still produced in a facility that contains gluten. We do not offer any dairy free/vegan cake options.
